Last view before our mission trip

We're leaving on Sunday for a week volunteering at the Midwest Mission Distribution Center near Springfield, IL. It is the upper Midwest disaster relief center for the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR). This trip has been scheduled for 2 years, so off we go with 5 others from Trinity UMC. Our neighbor’s condo is about a week ahead of ours, so she’ll be about ready to move in when we get home since her move date is Sept. 27. We plan to paint our basement floor and start moving boxes that last week of September before our Oct. 1 moving day. Wish us luck!

Texturing of the walls in our condo began yesterday.

They put in our neighbor’s walk-in shower waterproof sealant.

The neighbor’s shower floor tile is a beige, but ours has a little more white in it.
Tile in our neighbor’s front entryway...

...and guest bathroom.

Doorbell chime installed at the neighbor’s.

Neighbor’s light switches are in.

Doorbell button by the front door at 409 Meadow Lane.

We have outside electrical outlets.

They delivered our light oak woodwork...

...and our interior doors.

The neighbor’s doors are 6-panel and have a pecan stain. Our doors are flat front.

Neighbor's hardwood floor in the kitchen and dining room is installed.

We have another outside electrical outlet.

Here is where the limestone trim will go along the garage.

Siding is done on the north side of our unit.

Water shut-off valve in the front yard..

...means that we have H2O by looking at that puddle.

And the SOLD sign finally went up in front of our old house.

A day later the neighbor’s hardwood floor is done...

...and the 2-by-2-inch tile is installed in the walk-in shower with 12-inch tile by the toilet and sinks.

Texturing is now done on our walls, just awaiting the pain next week.

Carl discovered a light switch in the basement.

A little frog was under the stairs in the basement utility room...

...so we set him free outdoors.

The extra 12 inches of window well was added to the egress window.

Patio siding is now all done.

This is where a sidewalk will go along the north side of the garage to the patio.

The electric meters for both units is on our garage.

View of the neighbor’s unit on the south.
